Caneiros beach (Praia dos Caneiros) is one of the nicest small beaches in the Algarve that is located in between Carvoeiro and Ferragudo towns.
In fact, Caneiros beach is made up of two sections. The second part of the beach that can be found to the right of the main beach is accessible only during low tide. You will have to go through a little rocky divide to access the other part of the beach.
Caneiros beach is surrounded by magnificent cliffs. It is ideal for soaking up the sun, swimming, snorkelling and relaxing. It is also suitable for families with small children.
Caneiros beach is easily accessible by car and has free parking which is located about 50 metres away from the main beach. During the high season you might need to park a little bit further away and walk down to the beach. The beach has toilet and shower facilities.
Cabanas, sun loungers and parasols are available for hire at this beach. Also, if you want to treat yourself to a massage, you can do so right on this beach while listening to the relaxing sounds of the ocean! A masseuse is available on the beach during busier times of the year, and appointments can be made on the day.
Caneiros beach has a lovely restaurant at the beginning of the beach which is known for its fresh fish, seafood and some other local specialities. The restaurant has outside bar and cafe facilities. Also, there is a rooftop cocktail bar which is open during high season. Regular beach parties or live music events are being organised during this time of year.
Caneiros beach can get pretty busy during the daytime. Therefore, if you want to avoid the crowds, go there later in the afternoon and stick around to watch the sunset. The sights are spectacular.
