Pintadinho beach (Praia do Pintadinho) is a very nice beach that can be found not too far from Ferragudo town. If you like to get out and about by foot, this beach is within walking distance from Ferragudo. However, if you are planning to explore other spectacular beaches and towns in the area, it might be worth considering to hire a car.
The Pintadinho beach is located in a wind protected bay, therefore the ocean does not get too rough there. The water is clean, sand is very fine and the beach is ideal for swimming, sunbathing and snorkelling. It is perfect for families with small children. It has toilet facilities and free parking. There is a beach restaurant, which serves fresh fish dishes. The beach has a lifeguard during high season.
The beach has beautiful caves that can be explored (at your own risk!) during low tide. Also, there are nice walking paths at the top of the beach. The Pintadinho beach is used mainly by locals, therefore it is much quieter than some other beaches nearby.
